Just back from Borovets. It was snowfall all night and day on 3 January and on 4th all slopes were skiable (down to Yastrebets express lift and gondola, however slope conditions are still not rather good). The chairlift opposite Rila hotel does not work (it is broken but ordered 2 months ago spair parts have not been received yet), so if you wish to ski on Martinovy baraki slopes you have to use Sitnyakovo express lift (if it works) and go to Sitnyakovo 3 slope first which is mix of grass, ...

As I understand net snowfall is expected after 8 January.
