Had an immense time.. there was about 20 of us, snowboarders and skiers. I stayed in the Flora and it was fine - small basic room... Food was also quite basic and you needed to heat it up but it was fine. The Flora apartments where a few friends were staying were amazing though - deffo worth a few squids more.

The snow was great. It was my first time and i joined the school.. we had Riddi as our teacher - he was brilliant i have to say. The school was only 3 days compared to 6 for the skiers but i took another 3 days (80 levs) and it was well worth it... by the last day i was up the gondola and snowboarding down to the mid station without falling!! Only problem i had with the runs were that they were broken up a bit too much.. the green runs were great for skiers but kinda hard for snowboarders as they were quite narrow and often had a lot of traffic on them and you had to use them. They weren't signposted well either and a few of us ended up on black slopes where we REALLY didn't want to be - they are almost vertical!
The snow was great down the bottom for the first 3 days but there was a bit of a thaw and it became quite icy. Up the gondola it was brilliant.. good powder but ITS VERY COLD! i forgot my hat on the first day up there and i think my brain got frostbite!
Apre ski is immense.. i would recommend Mamacittas and Chilli peppers for food.. best stuff we got there. The Black Cat is good but i found it frustrating as the waiter we had didnt have good English and it was hard to get the orders correct and the mains came out whilst we were eating our starters.. food was good though - i know its nitpicking but when you are tired and hungry its very frustrating. Most bars were brilliant, notably Francos where the mad Tommy was only to happy to give me full glasses of vodka to get me sloshed!!
Anyhow to summarise.. it was a brillaint holiday and i would highly recommend it. Its was very cheap and the people are really nice.
Flora isnt that bad.. had a double which was basically 2 singles pushed together but the rooms are quite small... Showers were a pain as you will find out, pointing outwards and its a bit of hassle trying to get them to work properly when you are tired and sore! There is a microwave beside the buffet and i would recommend you use it for any hot food as the hot plates dont seem to work! In fairness they are small complaints and all in all its fine, good location and safe. BTW, if you have ...

BTW, if you have kids in tow you may want to take the TV remote from them as there is full on hardcore porn on some of the TV channels later on!
HAHA - the TV Sounds prety decent then!!! I love a good shower so guess thats outta the question - would it be better for us after boarding to head for the swimming pool and use the showers down there? I hate warm food so guess the microwave will be mine for the entire duration!!! What was the food??? Everbody goes on about it been cold - but what is it!!!>>???
yeah you can use the pool and showers but you have to pay 5 lev, then a further 5 lev to use the jacuzzi and 5 lev for the sauna/ steamroom. A back and leg massage costs 40 lev and is well worth it. Food for brekkie is cereal, toast (make it yourself), cold meats and cheese, fruit and then the (hot) stuff.. scrambled egg, boiled egg, sausage, bacon, beans, some mad stuff i have never seen! Dinner on the night that we used the buffet was soups, beef strips, fish in batter, some local dishes, fried brocalli, chips, chickpea curry, rice, deserts and fresh fruit. We had to heat the dinner up too, it didnt really bother me too much and its was ok.. basically what i was expecting. By cold i mean the food is stuff thats meant to be served hot, but it isn't!!
I stayed at the Flora last year and i thaught the hotel was fine. There was 3 of us in the room and it was a bit small but all your doind is sleeping in the room so how much space do you need. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed every day. I loved the showers. There is great water pressure out of them. The floor tends to get a bit wet though. I'm heading out on teh 24th and staying at the Flora and can't wait
No we were in the hotel. There was too beds and the other was a fold out couch. I selpt on the couch and it was fine. Space was a bit tight but we had no problems. I saw another room in teh hotel and that was bigger than ours
