Just got back from Pamps, conditions really bad, grass and rock boarding. Boarded every day but got slushy after lunch. Top night life, really enjoyed it despite the conditions. The only decent run serviced by a T bar banned boarders from useing the T bar so had to go the long way round down a slushy green run, mannaged to get on it once after big argument with the lift guy.re: Just back from Pamps

Pamporovo needs to buck its ideas up if its wants to continue to attract snowboarders..problems encounterd were banning boarders from using drag lift (we paid for a pass like everyone else so are entitled to use all the lifts), lines of skiers stood across the slopes and on bends causing us to have to come to a halt and try and find a way through..I saw more than one accident caused by these lines of skiers stood around blocking the piste. Watch out for Friday night if you're planning to go ...

Watch out for Friday night if you're planning to go into town for a drink..EVERY bar is off limits to you unless you belong to a ski school. On this night they present Ski diplomas to the learners and each bar is privately booked up by the instructors for themselves and thier charges. We could not find a decent bar that would allow us in. Oh yes..and its not that cheap. The resort seriously overcharges in comparison to the rest of Bulgaria. A beer in resort is around 4 or 5 leva, away from resort it is 1.30 leva.
