Just back from Pamps

We had a super fab time. Group of 6 of us we stayed at the Elina.
Flights were with Ryanair into PDV and they were great early and really nice airport so quick to get through....
I organised transfers through PS Cars on here Jordan was absolutely brilliant on time chatty really really great....
Elina itself was brilliant, small hotel, very friendly the staff were great, rooms basic but warm and showers fabulous, food in the hotel was nice not a massive selection but all really ...

Location of hotel like something out of a fairytale! in the pine forest and due to the HUGE amount of snow the busses could not get up the road, but we were picked up and dropped off everyday by car - great service!
First day hiccup as on the Saturday night there had been a massive storm which had wiped out the electricity so no lifts were working, this was fine for the begginers in the group, but for 4 of us meant no skiing :-(......i did notice that pamporovo pete did ask why there was no action on the webcams on Sunday and someone replied there was no problems and it was just routine maintainance, not the case it wasa big problem and no lifts at all that day........to their credit they had it all fixed no problem by Monday morning and the conditions were great, we had origionally booked to have intermediate/advanced tuition but on Monday morning the ski school appreaed with 1 instructor for over 40 improvers and it seemed very poorly organised - wouldnt bother booking the ski school package next time, but thats the only thing i would change or maybe just not throught the main ski school, there seemed to be many other options whilst actully there. We went off skiing in a smaller group
it was amazing, conditions perfect (bloomin cold though!) this was our 4th trip to Pamps and we will deffo be back.
Balkan rep in hotel was great and even lent us his kettle!
did tubing which was a hoot and bulgarian evening with was yummy!
trying to get a sneaky trip in before the end of the season...........we love Pamps, already booking for next year - might try the markoni!?

Pete, do you have a link or contact for booking Markony?want to try Pamps for mountain biking in Summer too!!
