Just got back from Pamps last night. It was snowing pretty much all week and they are saying it is the most snow, and best conditions for over 20 years. The resort was quite quiet at the beginning of the week but as a National holiday on Thurs and Fri the lifts were pretty rammed.

If you are considering hiring equipment when you get out there it will cost about £12 a day if you do it through your tour operator. Snowboarding via the snowshack comes in at about £25 a day, which includes board and boot hire for the day and 2hrs instruction. I would highly recommend organising a private lesson or small group lesson rather than booking with your tour operator as you will be in a group of up to 6 rather than a group of up to 30. The guys at the snowshack are really helpful, good fun and are highly recommended.
We stayed at teh Murgavets hotel and I have to say it is a fantastic hotel, very helpful staff, fantastic facilities and good food. Make sure you book in advance if you want to eat out towards the end of the week though as places book up quick. I would definately suggest eating out at the white house as it has great food and a brilliant atmosphere.
Despite being cheap relative to the alps, anyone doing the Plovdiv trip will quickly realise that although a pizza on the slopes is cheap at about £4, the same money will buy to two pizzas, two soups and two drinks in Plovdiv.
There are some great deals on ski-wear at the shops between the Murgavets and Perilik hotel at the mo. Just picked up a Billa Bong snowboard outfit for £90. My girlfriend bought a Diel outfit for £130.
Hey off to pamps on sunday for a week carnt wait, did u have private lessons if so how much was that. as we there are four of us going and we just wanted lessons for a about 3 days to get back in to it?
Hi Katherine, we only had snowboard lessons which are £15 for two hours, and snowboard hire is £10 for the day at the snowshack. Don't know how much ski lessons will be, but hire is worked out at £12 a day. If you are after ski lessons, ask your tour operator when you get out there they will help you organise something. The best place to try will be ski centre 2 which is where you will probably be hiring your ski gear from.
