Returned home from Boro yesterday (Tuesday 2nd march) after what was an amazing week boarding, despite the fact boro needs a HUGE dump of snow, quite a few runs are now closed as grass and mud are coming through in big areas, the runs with the snow cannons are slightly better, very icy in places but still very skiable/boardable. Top of the gondola is perfect lots of powder and great conditions but again the runs comin further down are getting worse. It snowed twice while we were there once ...
It snowed twice while we were there once at night (was only a fine covering) and again for most of the day on saturday (i think). monday was a freak day temp wise as it jumped from roughly 3 degrees the day before up to around 19, it was stupidly warm, then it rained alot monday night thru to tuesday morning as we were leaving. the conditions are gettin worse by the day on the lower slopes and boro does definately need alot of snow to come.
The food in boro is not the best but it is still good food, it does the jobs!! if your in the mood for a really really nice steak try Venice it right opposite the rila hotel, we had steak every night from different restaurants and venice was by far the best, plus you can also get a liter of beer for 4 lev
Definately goin to be returning to boro as it is very good value for money and the locals are very friendly, couldnt of wished for a better holiday.
