We have just got back home from pamps and would like to give anyone going out in the next week the following report:
As for the last five years we stayed in the snezhanka hotel which has had a major face lift with bulding work still going on for the new appartments out the back, this said you don't notice it because the work is done in the daytime when you are on the slopes. The food is as it always has been in the hotel six of us went and we didn't go hungrey still on the cool side ...

Through out the resort there are buildings popping up everywhere so the whole resort does resemble a massive building site, again this said the usual favorites are still there, The White Hart is as friendly as ever, Daks night club still rocks ( although did seem to be a bit of a youth club at times ) B J's is now called D J's ( can't think why ! ) and althrough we never went there The Apres Ski Bar seems the in place to be seen.
The ski conditions where not great, lots of bare patches and lots of ice, this said we are not experianced skiers and we managed to ski every day although the green from mid station to bottom was un skiable for a couple of days and we had to get the single man lift back down. We had a good dump of snow on Wednesday night and this made all the difference, Thursday being almost perfect conditions, but when we left the slopes on Friday they where starting to go back to how they where at the start of the week so we would say that more snow is needed, we left resort at 03.40 this morning and it was snowing then.
The best exchange rate was 2.80 Levs to the pound which you can get inside the ski centre at bottom station, the supermarket in resort is 2.76, once again we have had a super holiday in Pamps but being the greedy gits we are Me and Mrs Fleety are looking to go back in March and are thinking of going to Borovets so any comments on current ski/snow condition hotels etc would be welcome. If anyone wants any up to date further info on Pamps Please ask me or little fleety and we will try to help.
BJ's ( or Bo Jangles as it was originally called) was a patented trading name that was retained by the previous owner when it was sold to it's current owner George Spyder. George has tried to retain it's identity by naming it DJ's - although personally I would have called it Bee Jays.
In pamps now leaving in 1 hour just like to say good description of slopes by big fleety hope new snow comes soon for all coming upper slopes were ok for experience skiiers
Just walked in from another fantastic week in Pamporovo. If you take tyhe closed run down the back to Smolyan lakes then watch out. The fantastic powder runs out half way down!!! but worth the walk to the lift (15 mins) more for skiers.
We found it a little icy yesterday so hired those little sledgey things with a skis for runners and one for steering. It was the best 10 lev i have ever spent in a day.

We racked up points for first down to the 3 man lift ( these went where all others would not) and also tallied up points for taking out the odd skier.HE HE.
When you are having an icy day do try them. Just want to mention The castle again as we have bought there but they seem to get overlooked by others when food and drink is needed. It is the cheepest on the mountain but fantastic food. you can ski in and out and the beer is half the price of the others!!! even more so at happy hour
