Had a great time skiing on the glacier. If you are into skiing and havent been its a must.
The snowpark was topline and the skiing was generally real fun for june.
The village itself is pretty good and not too overdeveloped.
I cant wait for xmas when we got back to Borovets.
In the meantime I may check out Milton Keynes snowdome.

Nice one Neil, how did the prices pan out in the end ??
Many years ago I did the Grande Motte in Tignes, La Fornett in Val and Kaprun in Austria. In all cases the prices were a little steep considering the limited skiing but still worth it i suppose, in those days i would ski anywhere (including dry slopes and Scotland ahhhh).
Unfortunately my budget (or lifechoice) would not stretch to going down under (NZ) as a lot of my mates did
in our summer...

p.s. I did the snowdome in Tamworth last year, £24.00 for an open session (1 hour), 150m slope with a conveyer arrangement to get you back up, bit of a laugh but it wouldn`t take to many visits to add up to a holiday !!
-£30 parking at luton
-£40 return to grenoble (easyjet)
-£8 return bus from airport to L2A.
-£14 per night in chalet, half board
-£10 a day full ski hire
-£20 a day lift pass
The only exspensive thing was the lift pass (and beer ) but the skiing was good. Im into the freestyle stuff and they have the best snowpark arguably in europe, so cant grumble really.

Hi steve/val,

Good info, not to bad then really, i was paying £20.00 a day nearly twenty years ago in Tignes for a pass....
Were there any bars on the slopes ?? i seem to remember
when i was on the Kitsteinhorn in Kaprun there were many ski teams training and testing, is this the case in L2A ??
yep, loadsa young italian, spanish, canadian ski racers.
Also there are alot of pro boarders, freestylers that use the snowpark for shoots etc.
The only bar I saw was the main restaurant at the the bottom of the glacier. God knows what the prices were like in there!!
