Just back from Cairngorm & was really good day skiing, perfect conditions, only 2 lifts open but with only couple of hundred people at the very most there it was plenty. Hopefully skiing will be as good in Pamps by end of week.
Many a year ago maybe (before my time) but think this is the earliest in years, there is a good hard base & temperature is pretty low so could stay. Last season the best weekend was in March at Glenshee but before that they hardly had anything all season.
It's far closer for me to go to Glenshee or The Lecht but no snow there, the road to The Lecht is a nightmare even with no snow, so left early this morning from Aberdeen to Cairngorm it was definitely worth the early start using up the last of my hols before going to Pamps on the 30th.
