Just bought my first pair of ski boots

What a difference from the rented rubbish that have had loads of different feet in them etc. I had them custom moulded to the shape of my foot, they are well comfy and just feel like a ski boot should feel.

My advice; invest in a pair of your own ski boots. Worth every penny - honestly!

I'm off the the snowdome in Milton keyenes to have a play on real snow with the new boots!!!!

Well doen Hornster!!! Did you get the insole fitted as well?(see Fraser's post couple of days back) You cant live from from me then if you are close to MK?

Yip, I had the "full house" done to them. I always wear Superfeet in all my boots and even work shoes (good support for the arch) of which they allowed for during the moulding process.
Wasn't cheap at £220 but, WOW, how comfy and supportive they feel!

I actually live in Surrey, so not close to Milton Keynes, but do go to the snowdome occassionally.

Just thought id butt in and say im goin to the snowdome for the first time on Monday.

Is it as good as real snow? And also how long are the slopes?

I got my own blades for Bulgaria last year and cant wait to use 'em again.

The snowdome, I reckon, is very good. The snow is as good as the real thing and the slope is probably about 100m in length and slightly less in width and is complete with a button lift. They even have a couple small jumps if you want to have a go. Can get very busy so best to go as soon as they open. However, if you are going on Monday you should be okay.

I have done the bum boarding there and yes it is just like the real thing! Bloody cold and wet but good fun
