Just got back from Pamps....

Having been looking on here for the last few weeks about Pamps, i was some what worried about what to expect but.... Me and 4 friends have just come back from a cracker of a week away!! Ok could have done with more snow but they did what they could to make most of it ski-able, some parts very good, others not so..
We even skied down to the new 6 seat lift (bit rough near the bottom but fantastic on top 3/4) which is conveniently 5 min walk from my apartment in Stoykite.

Dak's is definatly the place to go, the band in there were fantastic! Gets very lively too which we loved!! White Hart we didn't really enjoy too much, altho the band were good too, just seemed expensive and lacked the crack that Dak's had!
We all definatly agree that Bulgaria needs to think hard about its pricing tho, It's not got the resorts/facilities that places like France have so can't see how they can be charge the same(or close too).
Had a problem with the lady at the lift pass booth at the new lift in Stoykite, Tried ripping us off on Sat morning! Asked for 3 full day passes, 150lev. I said no it's the weekend so should be 33lev. Eventually she agreed!! But it was very clear she was tring to pull the wool over our eyes!
All this aside, all 5 of us will be back next year as we had a great time, with some fantastic skiing, brilliant (and messy) nites out and some very good food!! Think im done!God that was long post, sorry.............

oh forgot to mention the flight out there... Diverted from Sofia to Burgas! They sorted us a coach to takes us to Sofia, which we managed to get to stop in Plovdiv and got our hire car company to meet us in a petrol station! Very exciting start to the hols!! lolre: Just got back from Pamps....
you were lucky,we were delayed 21 1/2 hrs,suppost to fly to plovdiv, diverted to burgas,stayed the night,then flew to sofia, then 5hr coach transfer to pamps, phew! i think they must like us to see a bit more of their country.lol. we had a blast while we were there too. xre: Just got back from Pamps....
God ok we were lucky!!Was it the fog that caused your delay too? We didnt really know what was happening for the first hour tho, we were getting info from other passengers out side Burgas airport then the coach's turned up!
Wouldn't say it really ruined our holiday tho, just gave us a story to tell now were back!! lol

snow apparently!!!!!!!!we were sat on the runway for 2hrs, waiting for two other aircraft to go before us,as we were 3rd in line, quite comical now tho.
