Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Had a great time stayed at the Samakov which was all right (must be as I am looking to book again for next year) didn't know what to expect after reading some of the comments on this blog.

Skied with Samakov ski school who on my opinon had the better instructors especially Jenny who teaches the children and Nick who took a group of beginners and turned them into intermediates within the first 3 days!

The place was beautiful and the Bulgarian people were very friendly.

All in all we had a great holiday and were very sad having to leave as we made a number of good friends.

We came back from Borovets on the 21st of Feb. It was our 4th time and every year we have said before we go that we will definately try somewhere different next year.
However every year we have such a great time and even though we go back to the same place every year and have the same two insructors (A Team very good and B team not so) every year is special in it's own way.
We have stay d at the Rila once, too noisy for us but still ok.
The last 3 times at the Lion we loved it here.
Next year we have just booked to return yet again for our 5th time but we are trying the Yanakiev if anyone has any feedback on this we would be very grateful.

We are loving this discussuion board by the way its really informative and interesting.

Hi ,we stayed at the yanakiev during half term week. The hotel is beautiful , very clean,tasteful and new! The food was fine,evening meals better than the breakfast.We had an apartment which was fantastic as there was so much space for us all! The only down side was the staff, they aren't very friendly to us english , especially the pool attendant! We have three children and every time they splashed in the pool she got cross and shouted at them!! Apart from that we had the best ever holiday and will be going back next year either to the yanakiev or iceangels.
