Just come to the end of my 1st ski in Bg after a week in Boro with my girlfriend, a couple of friends and their 4 kids. Due to the poor snow conditions there has only really been 4 runs open all week. They are good (but odviously repetitive) in the mornings but the lower slopes get very icy in the afternoon. There are only 3 lifts and a gondola operating and although there are no queues they are very slow. Therefore you spend as much time going up the mountain as you do comming down.

If all the runs were open you could ski it all easily in a days and would get very repetite. The nursey slopes are very crowded and two have rocks and boulder showing through which is intimidating for learners. I am sure that this is abnormal as they tell me they are at least 2 mtrs short of the normal snow depth. There is also not many place for beginers to progress and practice after the nurserys (no nice wide long blues)
Berofe all the "I love Borovets" brigade start lambasting me it has good points. The cost of holiday is vastly cheaper than the Alps and food, drink, ski equipment etc is vastly cheaper as well. A
Sorry if some of you disagree with me but im only trying to be honest and let people know how our trip was. Overall we did enjoy ourselves but would not return as infrastucture/number of runs is poor. Take care all and if your coming out here have fun. Nelly
