I think anything with a heating element is banned in Bulgaria including the hobs in the Samakov kitchen. Unless you want to microwave your trousers I wouldnt worry about it - ironing on a skiing holiday - frankly I'm a bit upset by the thought
This is the sort of sensible, concise comment that I have been trying to bring to this forum for a long time.
It is very difficult though, as you know, many of the posts on here miss the main points and create a fuss over nothing.

Brian,

So at least you can get a kettle, but you might want to consider the following:
1. Why are the kettles stored in lanes, instead of indoors in the hotel? Will they be rusty, are they hygienic?
2. Why ten pin? Now you need to get a ten pin plug adapter.
3. At ten levs a time it would be cheaper to buy your coffee / tea / chocolate from the hotel bar.
Hi Nudger
Have you also got an international telephone exchange? If so can you call my auntie in Australia and tell her I liked the socks she sent me for Christmas?
Cheers
