Hi Karen I read you comments on Banff with interest as I am off ther in 5 weeks. You stayed at the caribou Lodge wich is where I am staying!! Glad to see you thought it was a good place. Any info you can give me would be great places to eat/ drink etc. Cheers

Lucky you! Wish I was going back too it was that good - as I say the only bug was having to be "taxied" in each day to the slopes, but WELL WORTH the trips! The whole experience was "awesome" as they say over there - A lot!!! There are so many places to eat and drink and Im sure a few more have been added since I last visited, so all I can say is try what you fancy and like the look of - every bar and restaurant is extremely good value for money - especially the Mexican ...

Will try to email some names of bars etc later this week. If you also get the chance - dont miss it - to do the ICE WALK up into the waterfalls. It is well worth a day off the piste to do this. The waterfalls are breathtaking and such a fantastic photo opportunity - not to be missed. We even saw a WOLF on the road on our way back - our tour guide (a French Canadian) had lived in Banff for almost 20 years and this was the first real live wolf he had seen, so we ended up stopping the vehicle, piling out and went off in pursuit of this beautiful creature to get a photo - YES, we were mad! but what a fab photo and worth the risk. ENJOY.

Thanks for that Karen. I will not be skiing on this trip just sightseeing cant wait!
