Kids Ski Helmets

Someone told me that ski helmets will be compulsory for children as of 2006. I would like my children to wear them but my sister went to Borovets Xmas 2004 and says that noone wore helmets out there and that you could not buy them there either. Is this still the case, and will we need to buy some here to take with us?

If you decide to go out and buy them here, I have a couple of suggestions.

We've just bought one from a place called ski-west.

They supply alot of schools going on ski trips.

You can either rent or buy a helmet (do rental of clothing too) from them.

We bought one for £25, but I think the rental cost was about £12 for the week.

If you live near a Decathlon store they do a range of helments but the basic one is only £12.99. Just bought one for my five year old daughter and it's fine
