I read on an earlier thread, that as from this year, kids are legally required to wear ski helmets, does anyone else know if this is true, ta Tony Lre: Kids helmets
Dont think it is the case although I would make sure my kid had a helmet.

As far as I know it doesn't apply to Bulgaria. Italy, Norway and one other country have made them compulsory for under 11's.Myself and my two kids wear them. It's so light, I don't even know that I have it on. Accident's are not always your fault, but it could be you that gets hurt. I would wear one.

My helmet makes my life so much easier.The goggles don't pull if off.
My head doesn't over heat.
And it's somewhere to store all the bits and pieces together when you stop for a drink or lunch!

myself and the two kids went last year my eldest fell backwards on the ski road and smacked her head on the ice you could hear the bang echo through the forest then the screams for the next few minutes, we learnt our lesson the hard way, i wouldn't want anyone to go through the same, so no matter what level you are at ie pro or novice always wear a helmet. If you are in Bansko on or around the 12th-22nd of feb and see a mid age man with a black helmet with flames on that will be me ...
