Kids stuff

Going to Pamps with kids on Sun, haven't skied before, so this site has been so useful

Thompson have told us we can't pre-book ski pack, something to do with it being a late deal! Having looked at previous comments it might be that we just can't afford to ski........so, will I still need lift pass to sledge? and do kids under a certain age go free?

Determined to have loads of fun even if we can't actually ski

Hi Robyn

You WILL have loads of fun. There are plenty of things to do, as you say sledging, bum boarding etc.and all these things can be done on the lower slopes. Pamps is a beautiful place and the scenery is something else. Also, I am sure someone will be able to assist with Lift Passes or Ski Packs once you get there. Good Luck and enjoy your holiday Very Happy Wink

Sounds like you'll probably be on the flight with Pete and the gang.

Look out for us - I'll probably wear my "Little Miss Trouble" t-shirt - it's oh, so appropriate.

As Pete mentioned before, nag all the reps to see if they have any passes for no-shows etc.

I am sure you have seen the suggestion from Pete in a previous posting. Ask ALL the reps have they any spare packs (people who don't turn up). I am sure they will not turn down a reasonable offer. Try a posting here ... I am sure I have seen at least one lady who is travelling without her husband (broken wrist) and another lady who has just found out she is pregnant and who will not be skiing. There are some BIG groups going, maybe they have a drop out. They may have paid for skii packs and ...

Failing that, you can hire an instructor for a day at VERY reasonable rates. You may be able to get a couple of days skiing that way.
