does a local bus run from pampo to smolyan during the day ??

I was told that it was extremely infrequent. Do you have any idea roughly how often they run?

I got it last year I think it runs ever 45 mins. Journey took about 20 minutes. You can also get a taxi back fro Smoylan which is much cheaper than what taxis in Pamporovo charge.re: LOCAL BUS

Yep had a brill time although we couldn't ski for 2 days due to resort closed cos of high winds (last Thurs/Fri) but skiied like mad the rest of the time anyway. Luckily our instructor, Yuli (great guy) took us to his familys holiday house & we had drink/food so still had a good day, then a trip to Smoilan next day. Had some fab nights as well so all in all a good time.
We're off to Italy in 3 weeks time so that did soften the blow somewhat & not been there before so will be good to compare ...
