Well, my last day in Bansko and to be honest I'm not sorry to be heading to Pamps tomorrow. Snow has been good all week and it's snowing right now - but the slopes are closed, due to a technical problem with the gondela and the full range has only been available one day all week. The mountain management is pretty crazy and ski depots are just plain mad. Huge amount of building work going on in resort which does not do the town justice and it looks a mess.

Well, my last day in Bansko and to be honest I'm not sorry to be heading to Pamps tomorrow. I have arranged transport to Pamps with a Bulgarian friend which should see us there by 6pm tomorrow.
All in all Bansko has some great slopes when they are open, but that has been very few times this week due to
lifts breaking down and high winds.
Would I come back? probably not - Pamporovo wins hands down in my book!
Have to go now - there is a queue to use this computer - so I'll hopefully see lots of you in Pamps next week.

Pete - been reading Bansko posts for some time and there do seem to be a lot of negatives - over-development, high winds, technical probs and now a bomb! We were in Pamps last year and NEARLY booked Bansko this year, but changed our minds at last minute. Glad we did now. Have a great time next week - save some snow for 17th!re: Last Day In Bansko
Have been to pamps for the last 5 years...as much as i love it slightly bored now ....went to Bansko a couple of years ago and found the runs slightly more challenging...and found the resort cheaper than pamps..as much as i love pamps i am very much looking forward to Bansko...we are not skiing untill Sunday..so if theres any probs hopefully it will have cleared up by then..the snow looks fantastic...anyway im sure as long as theres

Horses for courses I guess - Bansko beats Pamp all day in my book. At least you have tried it.To be honest, seems like you have been a little unlucky with piste closures etc, never been like that when we have been - we'll get you back there one day.

unfortunatly no one can help the weather..if it snows it snows if it dont it dont and if its windy..well none of us can change this..just have to hope...
