Last Session in Pamporovo

The final 30 Irish visitors brought the skiing season to a close on Friday afternoon. With no other visitors in the resort the group had an amazing week of skiing. The snow was great on the top half and on most of the bottom. A big party was held at Peter's Irish Pub at the end of the t-bar.We were joined by the Education Group
from Balkantours and the season was closed in an appropriate fashion. Many thanks to all in Pamporovo and especially to Peter and Jeni.

We were there all last week too and had an amazing time - the luck of the weather I guess! Quite a different atmosphere in the resort compared to when it's in full flow but the skiing was excellent. We'll be looking forward to heading out there again next season and I'm not sure that we will recognise it though with all the new property development going on.

Does this mean the season is officially closed in Bansko or are the lifts still operating? The snow on the webcam looks pretty thin on the ground but I have been at this time of year for the last 2 years and it has been adequate up top. Have they closed early this year due to bad weather? Would appreciate an update before I book flights?

I wouldn't book and flights to go skiing if I were you.
