Learn to board Boro?

Hi I have booked my holiday to Boro for 6 of us with Neilson and we are staying in the Rila so got the buy 1 get 1 free on the lift passes. So I got 2 of those. Then 2 of the people in our group don't have there own equipment so needed to rent, and as Neilson were charging £90 for snowboard rental it worked out cheaper to get there learn to snowboard pack which is £150 which gets you equipment, lift pass and lessons and it was buy one get one half price so worked out cheaper to get those 2 ...

Now one of them has never been snowboarding before so he will be going to the lessons but it just occurred to me will he have a full area lift pass so that he can come with us as he progresses or will he be confined to the nursery slopes for the week?
Also what are the rental boards like are they real bad if so can you pay a bit extra to get better equipment in the resort.
We went to Andorra 2 years ago and when my friends collected their rental boards they were absolutely shocking so I went back in the shop with them and complained about the state of the boards they had given my friends and they exchanged them then and there for brand spanking new Burton Air boards for no cost so just wondering if I will get the same response in Boro

When I went to Boro after the 1st day half the group didn't turn up. Once you have got the lift pass there was nothing to stop you going where you wanted, with who you want.
Cant remember how good the board was but I didn't seem to have a problem with it

Thats cool then my friend having lessons is one of these people who pick things up really fast so the plan was to send him for his first lesson to get the basics while we scout the slopes for a nice spot to learn, then after his lesson I could teach him the rest. Then if he still wanted to carry on with lessons he could and if not then no loss.

You right about about people not turning up though on the second day. Seems everyone goes out the first night goes crazy then suffers the next ...

You right about about people not turning up though on the second day. Seems everyone goes out the first night goes crazy then suffers the next morning. I don't mind though means the slopes are pretty empty the following morning and I find the best cure for a hangover is snowboarding down a mountain so its win win for me Very Happy

You will probably find that after the 1st day he wont need to go back then. If he has had the morning with an instructor and then out with you all afternoon then he may well be sorted by the next morning.

Yeah a few of my friends that come every year learnt to board on one of those Learn to Snowboard in a day courses at Tamworth Snowdome. So I figure if they can learn in a day in the Snowdome then surely you can on a mountain as you have a lot more space.
He's been practising on my board using the Nintendo Wii. He puts my boots on and straps into the bindings then jumps on the Will Balance Board and plays Shaun White Snowboarding, I have had a go myself and it is actually pretty good for ...
