Leeches

Is it true that the top gondola station has been closed this week due to an infestation of leeches? It sounds stupid but i read on a bulgarian news website that someone was using them for medicinal purposes, took them out there and let them loose in the gondola station. Apparantly they flourished in the conditions and health inspectors had to close the place down whilst they fumigate.

Anyone else heard this?

re: Leeches

Could be true sammy. Last year in meribel a gondola closed when moss growing on the pylons mutated into a rare breed of purple bananas. Unfortunatly they had to distroy this rare bueatifull plant as they did not comply with EU banana bend regulations.

well funny about strange things on mountains a couple of years ago they had to shut down boverets due to somebody left the tap on up in the resturant on the mountain . and water was slowly leaking out and running down the hill next morning everybody awoke to see a huge glacier had formed and that no one could reach the chairlifts or anything it took 12 hours with a hair dryer to melt this huge block of ice so strange things do happen on mountains ps. watch out for the pekinino parrots ...
