Hi all...I'm off to Borovets on 3rd March...and have to say, it is looking (fingers crossed) pretty good..!
Can anyone update me/help me on this one...I am going in a group of 7 which includes beginner to advance skiiers and boarders...
We have booked the usual 'ski pack' that includes lessons, as we did last time...but when I was there 2 years ago, getting orgainised for lessons was a bit 'chaotic'. Basically, about a hundred of us on the nursery slop outside the Rila, ski down for ...

Is it still the same...or any advice on how to get in a group with mates..!!??

Are you going with the samakov school? We came back last week after having lessons there. After we had collected our skis and boots we all congregated outside and were put into groups of twelve, all beginners. We could choose if we wanted to go with our families/friends or be separated, as long as we were at the same level, (we were all complete beginners so this wasnt a problem).re: Lessons in Boro
hello, just back last week, my two had snowboard lessons but only for three days, their instructor gave them another 3 days for £40 for the two which i thought was great. Would it be worth getting a private instructor if you have been before and now the basics. I didn't ski but it did look a bit mad to me. My friends said sometimes it was difficult to hear what the instructor was saying. They are going to go private next time

Thanks for that. I think we will probably just look at getting private lessons...seems good value..thanks..

My friend said she felt under too much pressure to keep up with everyone else, or felt awful if the instructor had to spend too much time on her. Thought it would be much more relaxed with 1 to 1. And of course you can choose what time to go aswell i think (you can have a bit of a lie in if you have a few beers the night before)
