Just looked through the older threads and can't find a topic on this so I will ask:
I've just got 850 levs through Lunn Poly, but my mate went in to a different branch today and was told Lev's are a closed currency, and you can't take them in or out of the country. Now, other people have told me this but I got them through Lunn Poly with no bother.
Am I missing something? Have Lunn Poly given me some other kind of currency (Unfortunately I can't read Bulgarian so don't know what they ...

Going out on the 7th Feb to Borovets from Gatwick so your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
The limit is 5000 Levs without declaring at customs....look at the Bulgarian embassy web site last updated 18/01/04.....(Link below) http://www.bulgarianembassy.org.uk/consular/12.html
not sure what the exchange rate is in Borovets but I'm taking £50 worth of Levs as emergency funds and loads of sterling to change over there!
