Hi to you all, especially anyone just back from Bansko.
So pleased we have found this forum it is fanatstic, thanks so much PP.
Just a bit concerned as the queue to buy your lift pass on the first day even if you are there for 0830 takes at least an hour and a half. us Brits don't mind queuing bout that seems excessive.
Did anyone leave unitl after lunch to buy their lift pass and was there still a large queue? we were thinking about having a wander round the town in the morning ...

Anyone experienced big queues and would you recomend waiting till after lunch? Cheers everyone for your help!
If you're going on a package buy it through the tour operator. It's cheaper and you don't have to queue. If you're going out on you're own it's no so much the queue for the lift pass but the one for equipment hire that seemed the longest......John.
It is always best to buy your pass in the UK. I bought mine for Bansko today for 2007 and it cost £70.
You can expect to pay over £100 in resort so my advice would be to return to where you booked your holiday and try and get them to add it to your package.
Are you going independently? if so ask if you can get ur equipment fitted the night before (we did and it saved alot of hassle), we queued for about 30 mins (after arriving at 0830
If you have to buy the pass in the resort, try and pay by a Nationwide credit card. They don't chg the 2.75% exchange commission. There is a 5 lev chg. made for using the c/c, but last week currency rates at the hotel was 2.70 and the rate on my credit card was 2.86, which more than made up for the charge. Mal
Cheers Pete, we booked flights sepaerately and hotel direct with owners so I think we are out of luck for buyinga bansko pass in UK. Don't get to bansko till ten at night so I think we will have to just bight the bullet and wait in the queue. I am sure it will be worth it!!!!
