Lift passes and equipment hire

Can anyone advise me on ski packages please. Last year we arranged lift passes and the hire of ski equipment before we arrived it was our first year and wanted to make sure we had everything arranged for our trip before hand, but can anyone advise if this is the best/cheapest way to do it or can anyone recommend the best hire place in borovets, thank you in advance Very Happy

Hi Helen,

In my opinion, i have used over the last eight years.....firstly the Albena ski school (depot to the back right h.side of Flora hotel) reasonably priced and friendly staff but older equipment.
Then Chamkoria Ski school (depot on road in front of Flora hotel) again helpful staff and reasonbly priced small school, couldn't fault them really.

But the last six years have used Hunters ski school, office at entrance of Flora with depots dotted all over the resort. V. friendly staff, they can offer brand new or slightly older equipment now depending on budget. Booking is easy and you can normally kit up the evening before you start skiing. They have a website where you can chooses a range of packages.

I have heard great reports about Snowmasters school but not used them.

I don't have experience of Borosport or the Samokov ski school either, so this is only information of what i have used.

It is usual to book equipment hire before travelling especially at half term, but not essential. (peace of mind i guess)

Hope this helps

re:Lift passes and equipment hire

Hi Helen

Hunters and Snowmasters are always the ones regularly recommended on here. Have hired from Hunters and the equipment was great. Not hired from Snowmasters, however I now have my own equipment and I always get it serviced at Snowmasters. Either or really and I'm not sure on price comparison so it may come down to that.

On the price bit, everything is so reasonably priced, my recommendation would be go for quality as you will have a much better holiday.
