Hiya. REALLY looking forward to going on Sunday to Bansko - should we buy lift passes via Balkan Holidays or in the resort as differing views [do we need piccies or is it all electronic?] and do we need to book our ski bags in or just chance it at the airport? We're flying from Edinburgh.

Not sure about your ski bags, depends on who your are flying with i spose.
As for lift passes, my understanding is that if you have booked through a tour operator it is cheaper to get them through them, otherwise you have to get them at the resort, and they cost about £100. I don't think there are too many queues at the moment, but we got ours the night before to avoid them just in case!

Snow cover has already reached 150 cm in the resort. Many people, who wish to watch the up-coming Pirin ski-slalom (2 - 4 April) will make a real bargain. Leading international skiers from Sweden, Slovenia, Austria and the best Bulgarian skiers will compete in the slalom race.
