Lion Bansko

Hey everyone, heading to Bansko for the first time next month and staying in the Lion. Anyone got any reports on the hotel or the skiing???

Hi ricky, we stayed at The Lion last week and had a great time. Its pretty new though so dont be suprised if there is a few teething problems. All in all we had a Smashing vacation...and plenty of !!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from Bansko, buying property. Loved the place but be prepared, it's very rough around the edges. Try the mehana's for cheap Bulgarian food. Lift system, grooming and ski area all great. Try the Alberto Tomba black run, it was my first black run and I loved it.

If hiring equipment or booking lessons go to the Ulen shop in the Gondola station. They offer discounts and their equipment is the most up to date. Private lessons are a bargain. Heli-skiing also v cheap.
