Well since we had 2 hotels canceled, we ended up booking at the Lion. I know it's a bit far, but just how far is it? Can you walk to the slopes/town? They're supposed to have a shuttle, but how often does it go? And is there evening transportation or only during the day?Any other thoughts on the hotel? Child-friendly, clean, food good/bad...

Shuttle runs every 20mins up till 6 after that it's a taxi (€5) or walk 15mins.Very clean, kid friendly, food is not gourmet but will fill you up after long day, and is warm.
We liked it last year and if we had the money this year we would go back there no problem. Enjoy.

We're due back for our second visit in Feb, the hotel is really good. Rooms are quite spacious and modern, very warm (too warm sometimes!). Food is okay, you may want to go out a couple of nights for a change of scenery, but if you chose to stay in you wouldn't go hungry. The ppol/sauna is great, the kids will love it. Taxis usually wait in the car park, takes just a few minutes to get into the centre of the resort. About 15 minutes walk although may be longer dependent on how old your ...

Thanks a lot! Was worried a bit if the DD gets cold/hungry/younameit if I can go back quickly, but a shuttle every 20 mins is great. I heard really bad comments about Bulgarian food, so this sounds reassuring.Jocrad, we're going this Sat., the 17th.

it a lovely hotel we have stayed there the last 2 years but this time we are staying at the flora as we wanted to be more i the middle of it all hope i dont regret it roll on tomorrowre: Lion Borovets
