Has anyone been to the Lion Hotel in Bansko??? I'm about to book to go on the 3rd March but cannot find any reviews on the hotel and would like to know more about it before i book. Any info would really be apreciated.Thanks,

I stayed in the hotel lion last march, hotel itself is very nice with good views,rooms are very comfotable,extremely handy to get in to the town centre and for ski lifts.
downsides which I found to be a major issue are staff are extremely rude and unhelpful,i always got the impression I was being ripped off as prices would constantly change depending on who I talked to.
Food is awful,on one occassion for lunch our sandwiches had mold on them.

there is a good review on here comparing it to the Perun, I am staying in the LION on the 23rd December and found the hotel on here using the search feature for all dates.It does sound like a nice hotel and new last year I believe

i stayed there last year and i believe it was its first full season, rooms were excellent as were the facilities steam room, sauna were all very good. Food was not to bad, buffet breakfast and dinner, always something to eat. We did eat out at a steak house 3 nights though(it was to cheap not to) ask your rep to direct you there as it was one of the best steaks i have ever eaten. Only down side was the ski/board storrage area very busy, other than that excellent, i would def go back.re: Lion Hotel, Bansko
