Lion Hotel, Bansko

HI, can someone advise me on the ACTUAL location of the Lion Hotel/Hotel Lion in Bansko. In at least two brochures it is listed as 3min walk to the ski lift, in another brochure it is said to be 600m walk to ski lift, and in another, on a map, it seems quite far from the ski lift. Also if anyone has any experience of this hotel, good or bad, I'd be grateful for any information.

the hotals run a ski bus in the morning and in the afternoon. most of the accommodation at worst is about 10mins away, the map makes things look worse than they are. havent been to this hotel, there are others that are closer to the slopes and also town centre.

I know of the ski bus, but am quite keen to walk straight from the hotel to the slopes.

Depending on how fast you walk you are looking at about a 10 -15min walk to the gondola from the Lion.

Many thanks Hornster. So definately not the "3 min walk" that Thompson are quoting in their brochure!

depends on how fast you walk Iam sure thomsons can find someone to do it for them so they are not faults advertising

Thats what Seb Co was doing there last season ! 10 mins is about right.
