Lion or Samokov

Has any body stayed in the Lion Hotel. if so how does it compare with the Samokov

The Lion is on the outskirts of the resort - out past the Bor and Edelweiss - the Samokov is right in the resort.

It is newer but less central you will need the Ski bus or a 20 minuteish walk.

Depends how close you wish to be to the action.

Thanks Judith, I had a feeling that the Lion hotel was on the outskirts of town (but is discribed as being minutes away from the main lifts) I will book in to the Samokov where I have stayed many a times and that is minutes away from the lifts

The Lion is much smaller and has very little for kids to do. The Samokov isn huge with plenty going on. I stayed at the Lion with my wife and two kids and had a great time
