Malina Chalets

Hi

I am bringing the family to Borovets in Bulgaria on the 15th Jan staying at the Malina Chalets.

Dont really know what to expect as never been skiing, or been to Bulgaria before can anyone help us out on what its like, good places to eat and drink etc.

Hopefully now there is lots of snow to.

re: Malina Chalets

Hi Simon,

The food in the local hotels is served Luke warm (thats how they have it).

There are lots of bars and resturants to visit depending on what you like all of these serve the food hot.

Malina chalets are a little bit out of the town of borovets just got to catch a bus or horse and cart (the second option stinks).

Meals are prety cheap along with drinks.

Hope you have a good trip look forward to seeing your reply on hear when you get back.

Hey Simon,

if you read the Malina is a bit out of Borovez.
But there is a nice and familiar Restaurant not far away from the village, the village restaurant is really expensive, so walk in direction to the Royal Hotel (300m) away and you will find the Gorski Tzar nice, simple but good eating, homemade wine and cheap as no offer restaurant in Borovez or try out the Tschutschuliga in the old centre of Borovez, a traditional bulgarian cuisine with great prices.
