Outside resort centre but very close to the main lift. I have not been inside but have been told they are basic/clean/and warm. Best places for a night out are bjs in the Perelik/Daks bar located in the Snezhenka hotel. Also should be some new bars within the new 5* hotel Overletz all these are in resort centre 5 min taxi ride from you. Also for apres ski Hotel Markony which is very close to Malina.
Stayed there Feb 05. They have 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom accessed by a VERY steep set of stairs ( nearly a ladder) Downstairs is the Lounge with TV, Kitchenette with 1 electric ring, sink and mini bar, and the toilet with shower.
The chalets are nice and warm unless the heaters are turned off like they were on my first night - ice on the inside of the glass - Brrr but made me cuddle up with the missus. Once that was put right everything was A OK.

They are out of the main resort but now that the new Malina Hotel has been built the facilities available on site will be much improved. Staff are very helpful and taxi's to centre are easy and cheap 10 to15 lev each way.
You walk to the ski depot and back again which is a bit hairy as you need to watch out for the ski buses etc bringing all those from the centre.
Step out of the chalet and look behind you and there above you is the TV tower.
