Hi Ben

Thanks for that its a great help.

Can't see many greens. Is the musala pathway the easy slope down you mentioned?

Yea. goes right from top down. You can take the blue down to the start of that. Yea it is described as a beginners resort, yet most of the slopes are intermediate.

Thanks I'm going to print it out.

I like the look of that musala pathway and also Sitnyakovo Royal Residence Ski Way. I'm right thinking they are both green runs. Can't see any nursery slopes

The Mussala pathway is definitely NOT a green slope - more like a red. It just states that it's the easiest route down - It's icy and very narrow in patches.

Our instructor would not take us on it, even though we were doing the reds at the top of the gondola and the Rila 4 man chair - he wouldn't do that run with us.

The Sitnyakovo run is fine, but does have quite a bit of walking in it - and it also crosses over the black and two reds so can be a bit unnerving - this year was the ...

re: Map of borovets

Am so glad you said that Judith. I was petrified cutting across the black & reds on that run - I would not have put it down as a green at all. I was learning on a board & found the whole Mussala pathway more difficult than the reds/blues at the top of the lifts. Sad

re: Map of borovets

It is a green slope in the degree of angle. It's not very steep. But unfortunately so far conditions have not been great for it. That is probably why it actually has a no entry sign at teh start, which people just ignored. I would definitely not say it was any more difficult for a beginner to go down than a red. As for the other green slope. I actually rarely saw anyone come down the reds or black which crossed it. Problem was everyone stopped in the middle of the downward slopes and got in ...
