March Skiing?

There are 10 of us looking to go skiing in Europe between 12-19 March and wondering what the snow state will be like at this time of year.
Does anyone have any experience of the slopes around these times? And do you know of accomodation that will be cheap and functional but good?

Bansko has the longest season of the Bulgarian resorts.

Thats debateable, i know some local boarders still skiing in may in Borovets. Borovets is the highest resort, and at that time of year youll have no problems, especially high up, this winter is being touted as quite severe which means lots of snow. Depends what you want to spend really, and do you want a hotel or chalet? we are not allowed to advertise properties or places on here, but if you drop me a mail i can put you onto a chalet in the middle of boro that will easily cater for ten.

I arrived in Bansko on 3rd of March last year and it was snowing everyday since the 10th I left. Perfect skiing conditions and great pouder everyday!
Highly recommended season.

hi, im going to borovets on the 7th jan for a week, will we have snow or have qwe wasted our money. please let me know in your opinion as iv just read that theseason only starts on the 20th dec

went beg of jan this year and the skiing was great, its already started snowing in boro, its just the official opening is late dec, but the slopes are actually in use before then so you should be fine

Was in pamporova all season, left april and the snow was still good.
December can be a bit rubbish, but march is for me the best time, less people on the slopes and lots of sun with good snow.
