Can anyone give me an update on the medical facilities in Pamporovo, both on the mountain and in the resort.

Can anyone give me an update on the medical facilities in Pamporovo, both on the mountain and in the resort.
I had occasion last year to witness a child taking a bad tumble on the run as you veer right before the Wall. The child had to wait for 40 minutes to be lifted off the mountain and then taken to the Medical Centre. This wait wasn't acceptable. Later I spoke with one of the adults who was with the child. Thankfully nothing serious happened to the child. The adult who was with the child works in a UK hospital and told me the equipment was antiquated. Has it improved? The ambulance on the mountain is an old Land Rover with a hard fixed bed in it. That's it-nothing else. The ambulance in the resort is an old minibus, something like a Hiace Van from the '70's!!
I'm aware that a new medical centre was in the process of opening, opposite the Murgavets. Who can use it? Is it private or is it available for tourists?
I hope you can help me with some queries as I am taking a group out in February and some of those travelling are asking me these questions. Many thanks and Happy New Year to all in Pamporovo and those travelling in 2009. Ski Happy and Ski Safe!
i have noticed that ambulances look to be better than they use to be. i do no that doctors r available all around the resort.
as to time delays i think any medical services will get to an incident asap particulary when they r getting paid privately/insurance.
i have often seen skidoo type ambulance/doctor racing up the mountain
the new medical centre did indeed open, it is called medicus alpha and is part of a private hospital chain that works through out Bulgaria, having been there on 2 seperate occassions i can say that it is fab, it is available to tourists, very clean, all new and has all the equipent you can expect, even an operating room

I was injured in Pamps last year (disloctaed shoulder and associated fracture) I made my own way down to the ski shack (daft, I know, looking back) A paramedic arrived on a skidoo and took my up to the clinic at Studenetz. While I can't fault the care and attention I received the x-ray machine (in particular) was ancient - my wife ( also a paramedic!) commented that it was probably used by Noah to help the animals on the Ark.
I dislocated my shoulder 3yrs ago i also made my way back down the mountain, the med facilities were then at the hotel snezchanka and the xray machine was really old but the service that the doctor gave was brilliant i would have no proplems going to see the doctors in pamps.
