Hi Sarah Louise,
You will need all your parties passports and the address of where you are staying.
Basically you have to register at the police station which is at the bottom end of town. Not easy to give you directions over the internet will find a link with a town map and let you know (some time next week)

The avalon is about 5 - 10 mins walk from the town square ( it would be your local and offers sky sports, bar snacks and one of the cheapest bars in bansko) but bansko has developed alot over this last year and many new bars and shops have opened.

Good luck finding the Hotel Avalon Sarah Louise. We stayed there and it took us days before we could find our way back each time. Great atmosphere there though living amongst the locals. Sound of the odd cow, donkey, sheep and chickens. It is in the old part of town down in and amongst the narrow streets there are a few signs to help. I would highly recommend you going to the Avalon for a drink. The owner is english and they are very friendly and helpful there.
