Message for Jodie re trip

Hi Jodie,

I have booked directly through Bulgaria Ski without flights (did self and borrowing car off friend out there). Be aware that the Bulgarians have the Orthodox Christmas which is on 6 Jan, so basically, don't be surprised they have been shut recently. I have dealt with Sirma via email and apart from silence over UK Christmas and New Year plus Orthodox, I have now completed (faxed credit card deposit - remainder gets paid at resort, staying in Samokov hotel on 15 Jan, so also last ...
Hi Jodie,

I have booked directly through Bulgaria Ski without flights (did self and borrowing car off friend out there). Be aware that the Bulgarians have the Orthodox Christmas which is on 6 Jan, so basically, don't be surprised they have been shut recently. I have dealt with Sirma via email and apart from silence over UK Christmas and New Year plus Orthodox, I have now completed (faxed credit card deposit - remainder gets paid at resort, staying in Samokov hotel on 15 Jan, so also last minute!!!). Try again. I also tried the 0870 number and left messages but to no avail. You might want to try faxing them.

Best regards and hope it works out. I think that time is still low season, so you should find vacancies.
Victoria

re: Bulgarian X-mas

Ah, the heathen masses of today :-)

From http://www.carnaval.com/bulgaria/
Christmas, national holiday – most families celebrate Christmas on 25 Dec, although traditional Orthodox Christmas is 7 Jan (ok, so i got it wrong and thought it was 6 Jan!) - just means that you are more likely to find businesses closed down. May be I was mistaken and all those churches were not really Orthodox then!!
