Re short breaks, Brittish Airways seem to be doing reasonable flights from Heathrow to Sofia (for example 11th to 16th April £150). Loads of availability.

we enver got the hard sell when we went to spain, but it was at the hight of the property boom, so may be a bit different now. have a good night out
