It was in Pamporovo. Well you know how sometimes kids need just a little bit of encouragment to do something new. There wasn't alot of that about, my daughters boots were hurting her feet and they said she should do some sledging instead.I saw the girls the next morning and asked them to see about changing the boots which they didn't do. One day there was an almighty storm and the lifts were closed so we asked one of the ski instructors to give our daughter a private lesson on the nursery slope. We went into the ski depot and got a pair of boots that fitted straight away which led me to believe that the teachers weren't really trying.

To be fair some of the other kids were skiing but some of them do get tired quickly and it's easier for the teachers if all of the kids are together.So an easy option is to get them all onto a few sledges.

If it's free it's worth a try and if your children aren't enjoying themselves try to arrange a few private lessons.You can easily meet up at any time you like.

A ski instructor called Petko has a brother who does private tuition and is great with the kids. It cost us about £10 per hour which is rather expensive but our daugther was skiing a green run after about 4 hours tuition which is a small price to pay for the amount of enjoyment you get skiing together afterwards.
