Missing Boro...

I've been keeping an occasional eye on the board/webcams and weather since we got back and am missing Boro much more than I expected. We had such a good time and it's looking a bit like everything has gone flat Sad Lots of runs are closed, lots of patches of grass everywhere and it looks very quiet.

How are things in Boro at the mo? Hope anyone that is there is finding enough skiing and having a good time. I hate to say but with the long greens closed it would have been really hard for ...

How are things in Boro at the mo? Hope anyone that is there is finding enough skiing and having a good time. I hate to say but with the long greens closed it would have been really hard for our kids to progress as much as they did so I really hope it's not affecting any families out there right now too badly.

It would be really good to hear from Kas as well.

Even so - I am missing the place and wish I was there now with the family. At the end of the day a bad day in mountains is better than a good day at the office!

Hi Jez,

Me to missing Boro, just one point of order, there are no bad days in the mountains, it's just that some are better than others. Just hold on the memories will keep you going till next season.

Going to keep posting all year, to keep the dream alive!!!

Jez

It's a bit like giving up smoking, the more you think about it the harder it is to give up. My advice would be to stop looking at the webcams until about December.
What helps me is knowing that i've already booked for next year, it seems to help with the withdrawal symptoms.

re: Missing Boro...

Hi Jez,

Sorry we haven't been online much. We have been really busy sorting things out for the end of the season and my event work is busy now for the next 6months, so trying to catch up on that as well.

There has been no more snow since you, Sophie and the children were here, so things have slowly declined. There is hardly anything open both in terms of ski runs and restaurants - eg: Black Tiger, BJ's, Mamacitas, Derby etc etc have all closed. It's not really affecting people's ...

There has been no more snow since you, Sophie and the children were here, so things have slowly declined. There is hardly anything open both in terms of ski runs and restaurants - eg: Black Tiger, BJ's, Mamacitas, Derby etc etc have all closed. It's not really affecting people's holidays though as Easter is so late, there is no influx of people and the resort is absolutely dead. We are closing the WH on Sunday as it is costing us to keep the place open. Saying that, we met such great people in the restaurant / during the season, that we're really glad we rented it and gave it a go!

We are coming to the UK for a few weeks soon and I'm sure we'll be visiting a few people with a few bottles of the home-made Rakia!!!

Let us know when you're out again next year!
