Hi everyone
Just over a week until we're out in Borovets. I asked our travel booking agent to confirm whether it was best to bring out pounds sterling in cash and to change at a Bank in Boro, but they said you get better rates changing it in the UK and also to take out Euros which is more widely accept than Lev.
This seemed to contradict what I have read on the advice pages on here, which is to bring out pounds in cash and change at the banks…
Please advise, also what's the exchange rate like out there at the moment and the best places to change?
Don't take euros! It costs you every time you change money and you'll be paying twice with euros.
Take £££s and change in one of the Crown Booths in Borovets for the best rate, or even at the hotel reception desk though they won;t offer quite such a good rate. Take a debit card and there are several cash machines, although your bank will charge you a fee for this.
Take some Lev with you to get bye when you arrive then change pound notes as the above poster states, good quality 20 pound notes are best not old screwed up ones. Don't take Euros. Lloyd
We have just got back and had same issue, defo better rate over there and there are exchange places everywhere like someone said just take a few levs to get yourself by for a day x
