Mobile phones in Pamps?

Mobile phones in Pamps?

Off to Pamporovo Jan 21st.
Never been to Bulgaria before (or skiing for that matter!).
Will my mobile work there (Tri band handset - Vodafone) or am I better off leaving it at home.
Just want it for emergencies / calling home.

Yes mobile will work but check with network charges are normally high over a £1 per minute to send and receive so would keep for emergencies I have my voicemail switch off just in case
Never done it my self but if your phone is set to take other sims you can buy a sim card and your calls wil be cheaper on there rate

HI Anthony. I have used my Vodafone out there no problems. But it will cost a small fortune. I will be in Pamps for my 5th visit at the same time as you along with a few others. What hotel are you staying in? Very Happy

If you have any spare mobiles, take them along, last year our instructor wanted to swap our mobile for brand new skis and boots!

Hi, don't forget that the phone cards are very reasonable over there, and also that in the walkway between the Perelik and the Mourgavetes there is a Cyber Cafe and the phone charges from there are very cheap.

Have fun in January and please don't drink BJ's and Daks dry. I have some unfinished business with a few bottles of Astika!!! Booze Booze Booze
