god knows because friends of mine on that flight were told they were delayed to leaving Sofia at midnight last night! All the flights were delayed leaving on 29th, it was a nightmare!!!!! I was only delayed by 4 hours and finally got home at 0530!!!re: Monarch Gatwick Flight from 29th

What a f*&$^%^ing nitemare!!
Landed about 2am on Monday morning, yup about 30 (yes, THIRTY) hours of delays!!
Will post full and explicit report when awake, shame really as apart from that, a totally fantastic time had!!

Yep 2am!!!!! an ablsolute nightmare, and then a 3 and a half hour drive back to south wales.
Really good holiday, but not a good end.
We got to the airport at about 5pm on saturday for our flight at 7.30pm, only to be told at about midnight that it was cancelled. We were then told that the next available flight would be 11.50pm the following night.
After searching for about 15 minutes in a blizzard for our cases we were taken to a -3 star hotel. Got to the room to find a lovely ...

To add insult to injury the wouldnt change stirling(only euros or US$).To finish it off nicely we then left another hour late from sofia airport last night.

The same story here - except we were put up in a good hotel. Not much consolation for an apalling time at the airport.
Unbelievable the lack of information we were told at the airport! We were sat in a closed airport for two hours before anyone thought to tell us!! And then our reps were too scared to come into the airport and tell us anything.
I know some people were taking photos of the farcical scenes of us getting the bags out of the crates (an impressive team effort!), does anyone ...

Yes - my complaint will revolve around the lack of info the reps gave us and the confusion about what was and wasn't being paid for by Inghams.I thought they did well putting us up in hotels but it was so late by the time we got to them!
