Money - Lev or Dollar?

Went last year and took Bulgarian Lev to Pamporovo, what does everyone else take with them? I've been reading bits about Bulgaria cause I'm getting excited Very Happy and they keep mentioning dollar, but I wasn't going to get anything but Bulgarian Lev for spending.
Any advice...........

re: Money - Lev or Dollar?

I'm changing some money on friday to go on saturday, and I'm taking Lev's. It seems that if you take money there and change it or if you change it at home and take it there's not a massive difference in exchange.

Having said that make sure if you do take money to change you take it in cash as there's a 6% charge on cash withdraws apparently.

re: Money - Lev or Dollar?

Did Pamps last year. Took only sterling - Had no cas h on first day as didn't find time to change it - soon rectified that. If you take Sterling and don't manage to spend it all, which is actually possible, then you can bring it straight home and spend it down the pub when you return Booze Very Happy
