Money....?

Two years ago I went to Pamps and we took about £50 of Levs and soem sterling. We exchanged sterling at the bureau de change as this was the best rate - even better than back in the UK. Do we still need to do this....as they're not quite usuing Euros yet. Is this right?

re: Money....?

Yeah. It's still Levs.. and in fairness most of the places such as Thompson et al are offering a competitive exchange rate.

When you off?

re: Money....?

We're off on the 10th March, we went the 5th a couple of years ago when we stayed in the Snejanka. Hopefully the Pamporovo is good...heard some awful reviews. Do you know what the rate is at the travel agents??? are they the sam eor should I shop around?

re: Money....?

Thompson had it at 2.69 and you had to order. M+S had it at 2.77 and had plenty in stock.

re: Money....?

To save Pete the bother, I'll say it - It ain't worth shopping around for the extra 0.10 of a lev, it's just pennies. Anything over 2.70 ish is ok.

Remember - if you change £100 @ 2.8 lev, you will only get about 10 lev (£3.70ish) more than if you change at 2.7 lev - is it worth trawling the high street? I doubt it!! Very Happy
