This one comes up daily whoever told you to take dollars is a complete and utter idiot and is refering to many years ago travelling to non tourist destinations. re: Money

Take it from me.... I've just got back and found out that it's best to take sterling and change the lot over there.....
There are a couple of commission free booths up the main street that will give you a good rate.
If you can grab a few levs before you leave (I got £20's worth from Thomas Cook or even at the airport).....this will tide you over till you get more changed out there.

Hope this helps & enjoy the snow Very Happy Very Happy

re: Money

Why not just take a cash card? You get a very good rate, 2.7+ , £1.50 commission and free on some cards. Treat it exactly as if you were going to the Eurozone.
