Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Just sitting here thinking about the first time i came to this forums sister board and was convinced by PP (SBP over there) to go to Sunny Beach. That time 2 of us went.
1 month later i took 2 more friends to SB and then the month after that took 4 more friends to SB.
Then in January last year 7 of us went to Borovets for the first time and then this year that group grew to 9.
Some of us maybe going back again this season and already there is interest from about 25 to go to Borovets next year.
At this rate we will soon be needing our own plane.

So far everyone i have taken to BG falls in love with the place and wants to return. Do you think they put something in the water?

I know what you mean, I still get people dissing it and I just tell them to try it, in the last year I have been seven times for ski-ing, summer, and velingrad to a wonderful spa hotel.
People just do not understand the attraction till they have been for themselves, mind you you still get the odd moaner at the airport who expected Steak and Kidney pie and chips!!!!!
As much as I want everyone to fall in love with the place I also like the thoughts of it being a closely guarded secret - but spect those day are well and truly gone....

i had a summer holiday out there 4 years ago, when we were getting ready to go home everyone around us was saying what a horrible time they had had, how expensive it was and how the bar staff had ripped them off, there was 3 in our group and we were sure they must have been taken somewhere else and just retured for the flight back. the bar staff were great we had got to know them on the first night and every night after that they had reserved us a place at the bar and came up with a new cocktail for us to try what more can you ask for? the place was fantastic and as for being a rip off get real, yes its a great place and not supriced you go back
